How these doors are built

Four things that separate a proper steel door from a thin pressed one.

01

Galvanised core

Hot-dip galvanised steel skins, so corrosion does not creep from cut edges or fixing points the way it does on untreated sheet.

02

Insulated or single skin

A foam-filled leaf for heated or occupied spaces, single skin where the door is purely security on a cold store or garage.

03

Steel frame and canopy

The frame is supplied and fitted with the door, colour-matched, with a weather canopy over the head on external openings.

04

Powder-coat finish

Polyester powder coating in RAL 7016 as standard and the wider RAL range to order. No painting, no sanding, no annual upkeep.

specification

One flush door, the full RAL range

This is the steel door we fit the most: a flush leaf with no panel profile at all, powder-coated grey over a galvanised core. Anthracite grey (RAL 7016) is the one people ask for by name, but the same door comes in the full RAL range at no great difference in price. Whichever colour you pick, the frame, drip canopy and any louvre vents are coated to match, so the finished opening reads as one piece rather than a door bolted into a mismatched surround.

Domestic and commercial

On houses these doors most often go in as a garage side door or rear entrance — the point most burglaries actually go through, and usually the weakest door on the property. On commercial and industrial units we fit them as personnel doors alongside roller shutters, and as fire exits on clad steel-frame buildings. Same product, same finish, with the hardware specified to suit whether the door is an entrance or an escape route.
